Throughout the span of time mankind has pondered the secrets of the universe. Many theories have been created and deduced. Some of the mind boggling questions we have answered include, "Where does moon go at night?" "Why does Earth orbit the sun?" and "Why do humans feel the need to reproduce?". But there are still so many questions left unanswered, like "Coke or Pepsi?", "Why can't you forget how to ride a bike?" and so many more. One question we have finally answered , after decades of exploring, is: "Why are teenage girls so addicted to social networking?" (Ok so it hasn't been decades...)
Many great minds have been expended finding the answer creating many theories. Among these theories is a survival of the fittest theory of sorts. The theory states that on a subconscious level humans have the need to be the best, and teenage girls choose boasting and displaying their life as their means of doing so. When two lions meet each other they feel the need to fight over the lionesses and assert their dominance. Teenage girls fight over the teenage males by showing the other females how great they are by posting heavily doctored photos to the interwebs. Other females see these photos and are overwhelmed with envy. This process is what makes an "Alpha female" of sorts. This female is the one who has the most friends and followers on her networks. The other girls who privately stalk the alpha are constantly making their lives duplicates of hers trying to become the alpha and attract the boys.
Logic would dictate that people would use social networking for catching up with family and friends they actually know and don't get to see often. Upon questioning these girls they all claim they do exactly that, but upon surveying their profiles four of five teenage girls have never even met 87 percent of the people on their friends lists. These studies have definitely confirmed the suspicions of the scientist conducting the research.
After straining and exhausting thousands of great minds, it has been inferred that the only motivation these females have is simply to annoy their boyfriends. Many hours have been lost to the unrelenting onslaught of these tyrannical social networking females. After questioning masses of males who have fallen victim to this epidemic they have all agreed on this theory. However upon questioning females they all will defend their innocence. We males have agreed they are simply hiding their true motives.

I think this plays a big part n being emotionally unstable. Always feeling that someone needs to pay attention to them and not feel alone. I mean I had a ex that had 3,000 friends on onstage am. I mean what in the world is the. Point of that? But then I figured it out. She was wanting Attention and didn't want to feel socially alone. It was ridiculous and that's all she looked forward to is more followers so she could feel important and that people actually enjoyed her but in reality they didn't. She just couldn't see that. She wanted to be alpha and feel like she was important when in the end those people are just a number.
The topic you picked is a really good one. I didn't realize that you could use that analogy about the lioness, but you did it. This as my favorite quote "Logic would dictate that people would use social networking for catching up with family and friends they actually know and don't get to see often". The way you write make me feel shame for what I wrote. I respect your way of writing and it makes me feel like I should step up my game. Thank you for helping me feel enlightened.
I fully agree with this whole mass confusion within the great mind of human kind. Another, question for the universe is where in the "world" are we? Why did we form on earth and not the other planets? I have always wondered why we exist! Maybe we are just some "freaks of nature".
JD we are not going to get any where if we dont invent a time machine. Once we do we probably do something stupid with it. Then the world would end or something.
Thank you all for your comments. I actually wrote this with an actual inspiration and gave it a humorous twist. A lot of the stuff I put in here was from the example. I don't want to come off as to humble though I definitely wrote this.
Wow this is very true, sophisticated and humorous all at the same time. I enjoyed reading this well written blog. It's funny to think about all of the things written in here and comparing it with past things that I have notice over the years. Good job man.
I love this post. I would agree that most all of this is true. Great job. It was well worded on a great topic.
I agree with post and I think maybe girls get addicted for gossip.. I remember when I first opened my facebook account I would constantly check my Facebook to see what new. Like maybe every two minutes.
I agree a lot with this blog, but i think that it goes with both girls and boys. There are so many people, especially teenagers that are just so caught up with the internet and are addicted to it because of the attention that they get. they spend all their time on it, and its pretty much insane! I think everyone has this want to be accepted and some people just go to the extreme to get that.
