Things that Should Die with 2013

War, in my opinion, is a very ineffective waste of time, lives, energy, and resources, and it should die with 2013.

Another reason it should cease to continue, is due to the many broken homes and heartbreak that it has and will continue to bring into the lives of the families of soldiers all around the world.

I am aware of the many good intentions that wars and battles are carried out for, yet I can't help but imagine all of the better possibilities and opportunities that those resources and millions of dollars can elsewhere be distributed to. I feel like everyone would be much better off without all of the PTSD stricken veterans. Not to mention, I know for a fact that majority of the people I've met in my life have grown up without a father figure or mothers in there lives, and I know that these men and women who are trying to be invested in their children's lives should have the opportunity to spend as much time as possible with their families, instead of feeling they need to put their very own lives at risk in order to protect both their families and their country. I know this peaceful vision of the world is close to impossible, considering the population of selfishness is ongoing and grows everyday. But a more serene perspective and goal in life would drastically have a much better influence in many people's lives all over the globe.

Top 5 Questions

Five questions you should never ask someone in a program & fresh out of DT:

#1 "Did you drop the soap?
Okay, may I just say that NO BODY SHOWERS TOGETHER! I find it funny when someone asks this as a joke, but if your even thinking about asking me that on the real, I just might have to go back. Common sense please.

#2 "How was it?"
Hmm... You know, I thought it was quite lovely. No...How do you think it was? I'm pretty sure that the fact that we arrive there in cuffs answers that one for you. Although I must admit, I do enjoy seeing a few of my old homies every now and then, but you get the big picture. I've hated every stay.

#3 "Did you learn anything?"
Yup. How much of a fiend I am, and how to:
a. Get ganja and/cigarettes faster/ which smoke shops sell to minors
b. Smarter places to hide pills
c. Meet more people to get into trouble with
d. All of the above

#4 "Feel good to be back?"
No. If anything I wish I never got caught up, because now I'm on worse lock down than I was to begin with. Not to mention that I also have to start all over in my program again, and I am not feeling so great about myself because I have so easily broken the trust I once had with my authority figures. So no. It doesn't feel so great.

#5 "Round 2?"

Alright, so if I JUST got out, at least wait a few months to ask me to do something risky again. But if you ask me to car hop with you the night I get out, don't trip on me for giving the "WHAT THE CRAP!?" look.

My Favorite Mistake

All of my mistakes have made me who I am today. I'm not proud of the past things I've done, but they have really been able to help me grow more as a person. But the one that I would label "My favorite " would be getting into the system. I used to get into fights all the time, go out partying every weekend, would drink constantly to block out reality and A LOT of other not so very smart things.

I think the most pathetic one was when I would cut school. I used to do almost ANYTHING to get out of class. Once, I was sitting in French, and my teacher got used to the fact, that every time I would "go to the bathroom", I wouldn't ever come back until lunch;) One specific day in that period,I got a text that I had to be somewhere four blocks away in 10 minutes at the latest. Haha, I kept asking and asking to get a drink or whatever, and she kept saying no. So finally, I waited till she turned her back, and I just slipped out.

My truancy got so bad that the Provo High School cop, would always walk around the halls during class to find me. I finally decided that sleeping out in the open or just walking out, wasn't working anymore, and the cop was always at the doors , so I started sleeping on top of the damn vending machines! He would walk by and never even notice me knocked out right above him!

Long story short, without all of those mistakes in the beginning of my freshman year, I wouldn't have learned how important my education really is to me. I’m a bit ashamed of a few of the stupid and pointless stuff I've done, but at the end of the day, it's hilarious to look back on wondering what the hell I was thinking.

Twitter Memoir

My mother picked me up, and decided to leave home in Houston. Now I now realize that was a big mistake because had it not been for that one small choice, life would be different.
