Things that Should Die with 2013

Jeans, pants, slacks, shorts, board shorts, and lounge pants are just some of the different types of garments we use to keep our bodies from the bitter cold or steaming hot of the weather conditions of the planet we live on.  There are many trends that should die with 2013 and one of the trends that should die with year of 2013 of sagging of pants.  The way each individual wears our clothes shows the world that the person is.

As we examine the person's attitude toward dress we look at how they wear the clothes they wear.   There are some who wear jeans or shorts with the waist down below the crotch or around their knees more commonly known as sagging.  This can be quiet comfortable for the male of the species for it allows the easiness of the flow for the family jewels.  It also may show oneself as a popular or appropriate in the society due to influence with pop, rap, and hip hop icons.  This allows them to fills themselves with some idea of self worth.

Many in the society have not the same view.  There are some who have found that the constant need to grab and pull is uncomfortable.  The showing of underwear and having those around harass you for showing underwear is not pleasant.  The idea of being tripped by either the pants or shorts or unable to run or walk due to having to waddle to keep up the pants is not pleasant to watch.  The clothiers who make pants have begun to conform to the norm causing tall skinny people who do not want to be saggers unable to buy jeans or pants in correct sizes.  Having rap-stars such as Snoop Dogg as role models may not be best idea.  The look of classic lines from tuxedos, Sunday dress, and nice clothes have become less attractive with the sagging pants.  The idea of the look makes people look just as if the person comes from a form of poor white trash and has no pride in themselves or those around.

As the pros and cons of each tend this trend of sagging our pants seems to show a lack of respect for ourselves.  This is the largest con and proves that we should allow the trend to leave the realm of this and all other worlds.  For if it doesn’t matter what others think of you or what you think of others than why do we try so hard to copy those people in the pop, rap, and hip hop icons?  This idea of showing our assets can be done without showing the assets.  The cons in this matter out way the pros so Farwell to the sagging and ring in the tailored pants and clean lines of yester years of the 1950’s.

I defiantly agree with you Nikolaus. I hate it when I see people with sagged pants. Like u said we use pants to keep warm not to show our butts! Another good reason could have been if we all sagg we can't function in society.

Dude I so agree. Most of the people don't even know where the sagging of the pants started. Trust me it was not a good thing. Most of the time it ment you wanted to get raped in prison. So I agree they should just pull them up.

I definitely agree with you on this NiKolaus. Sagging of pants is indeed an unattractive and disgusting practice. I feel like sagging your pants could lead to an unwanted swap of butt juices and spread disease. Of course I am not a medical professional and this is just an opinion. There are definitely some things to think about here though...

Nikolaus I totally agree with you in this aspect. Guys should not sag their pants. It is unnatractive and pointless. It may be a style but it's a style that should die with 2013.

I can say that I honestly dont really agree with this excerpt. Because where sagging started was not from rap music but as branden said in prisons. The meaning was you were open too homosexual activities. I think just cause a person sags their pants it doesn't have a tie to their level of self worth or respect! It's mostly formed from habit or the idea of looking like "a thug"
