Things that Should Die with 2013

Twenty thirteen sounds like we are way into the future. But really we are in the present. In other words we are not ready to start saying twenty thirteen. We are to early in time for it to be twenty thirteen. Saying 2013 like twenty thirteen should die with 2013!

One reason is that it only sounds good in a case of 1997 or 1806. We all confuse it for what it really says. We didn't come up with nineteen ninety or two-thousand thirteen. Language is always changing we adapt and life goes on. It honestly makes me feel like I'm being taught wrong.

Another reason is that it just does not make sense in terms of they are both two numbers. The way they teach it makes me think I'm in two different dimensions and not in current time. We are in year two thousand thirteen. Not twenty thirteen.

I admit that twenty thirteen does have a good ring and is shorter. I know that we say 1997 like nineteen ninety seven and not one thousand nine hundred and ninety seven. So why can't we say twenty thirteen? It isn't a large enough number to say twenty thirteen!

Just wait a while like one hundred years from now. It will change you can't make it change neither can I. We all change, adapt, and find the easiest way to do things. Saying twenty one thirty four or whenever we will say it.

I how been in the same situation because it just gets hard to say. Why don't we just keep it one way or the other? It's hard and sometimes it gets easier to say that just might help. We all just jump around from one place to another. I think it's funny because we all start to get discombobulated.

I admit the way we say it makes us sound simple-minded. It should die out and I hope it does. I least we're saying two thousand fourteen. So speaking out is the best way to go man I like your views on our language thank you .

Dude, you are so right! You guys can't just change on us like that. Keep with the old. That may not be your point but it sounds like that is what you are trying to get to. Again your totally right.

James I liked your comment because I think its lame that we don't say things in the right manner. I always try to years like the way you said because there is no such number as twenty twelve is there its two thousand twelve. But I think that some numbers are to long as you said but even then you need to say the number correctly.
