Long before getting locked up, I was living the dream! Some might call it the high life. I was alone, free to come and go as I please, my life revolved around music and BMX.

I know exactly how you feel. That's exactly how I lived my life. Sometimes I wish I could go back and do it all over. Then I come to realize that that kind of life is what got me where I am today. I mean I may be a better person but I would just go through the same problems over agin and things would just repeat. That is defiantly not something I want.
Same for me too. My life was the best before I came in the system. Now I'm stuck in a piece of crap program. But I should be grateful for this because now I'm doing better. I'm actually in control of my life (in a good way) . So I will still live life to the fullest and so on. So your comment taught me about this and to look back at the good things then look forward to experience more.
