Twitter Memoir

I had a hard past-being abused by my dad. Now I have a fresh start to do better than my dad. I can have a chance for a better future by being successful in life and in school.

Jesse how you are now and I probably wouldn't have ever known that you was abused back then. Now I know you better and I've come to realize that we're one and the same. The pain you suffered I can come pretty close to what your feeling the pain, the sorrow, the hopelessness . But you persevered to the end and now you away from that type of violence and anger. That's why I like your post because I can relate to it.

I'm not going to say I have been in your shoes but I have experienced abuse. It's a traumatizing experience that no one should have to endure. I still strugel from the effects of abuse and molestation, but like yourself, I have become a stronger better person.

I was not abused my self but my best friend was put in fouster care because his dad was in and out of jail then he went to prison for drugs and abusing his family. His mom was not able to take care of him and she abused him as well now he is a foster kid. My friend wants a permanent home. He has told me about the abuse and is like you, not wanting to carry on the abusive side. I think it is a good thing that you don't want to carry on the abuse because kids don't need to be abused.

I can relate to this, being abused sucks. But once you get away your free. Free to make dreams come true and lifelong goals happen.

Awesome! I think the goal is to always be better than the previously generation. We should learn from the past and then move forward. -Stacy (health teacher)
