"License and registration please?" I froze up, all I could say was "uhh - um, hold on." I pretend to check my pockets and look for the drivers license I didn't have hoping to buy enough time to think. When I ran out of places to look my throat felt like it was swollen, I turned to her and said "I don't have one, I'm only 14." Before I knew it I was getting my first ticket. Luckily the cop just charged me and waited for my mom to come get me. Finally at 3:30 am I was going home.
After that you'd that I would have learned, but the only thing I learned was to be more careful to avoid getting another ticket. But a little under a year later it happened again. I heard those words again, but this time the cop was pissed from the start. I got out of the car to do some sobriety tests I looked around at the well lit red and blue street. It seemed unnecessary to have 5 units, and a k9 for 3 teenagers, but I guess that's what happens when you get a DUI. But I wasn't even drunk.
The third time I heard the overused words, "license and registration" it was a lot different than ever before. As I backed into my drive way a car came out of the dark cult de sac and boxed me in. A cop ran out of his car leaving his door open. He got to my door and commanded me to exit the car. He grabbed my shoulder and held me against the car. He was convinced I had drugs but when he was proven wrong all I ended up with was a joyriding charge. I few weeks later I got a letter saying the charges were dropped.
My point of all this is that I don't regret anything that I've been through. Regardless if it was positive or negative I learned something from it. I am veritably happy with where I am today.

I can relate to this because when I was that age I was doing things I shouldn't be doing. It wasn't the smartest choice but I still chose to be dumb and break the law. Just try to follow the rules. How did you feel after you got that ticket and then went home at 3:30 in the morning?
I been in similar situations.I know it sucks not to learn the first time. And only learning bad from our mistakes always happens. But it's good you finally learned
Damn, haha I remember when I got pulled over for my very first time May 8, 2013. A day after my pick up order was put haha it's sucked man & to top it off I got a tabbacco ticket, sucked. Well that day was lame because me & my boyfriend had just gone to Star Bucks & a block away from my friends we got pulled over. Turned out that my boyfriend had a warrant for his arrest cause of a ticket he didn't pay so he went to jail & got bailed 3 hours later, loser. When in other hands I got sent to D.T. For a whole month & then got put in DCFS custody haha but I got a ticket for driving without a licenses & a tabbacco ticket ha but then the cop was accusing me for being under the influence of drugs when in reality I was more sober then sober haha but oh well. So after having handcuffs on me & boyfriend, sad haha but we got put in different cars since it was ringing ha. So after a couple of minutes of being in the car I asked the cop if I could get my Star Bucks & he said yes because I was being good laugh out loud. So then off I went to D.T.
Hey at least your hopefully doing better learning from your mistakes your lucky your not really screwed like most people. Keep up the good work.
Dreads you is cray cray. But your favorite mistake is a good one to learn from. I can't relate cause I've never been pulled over when I was driving. One tip for you is that you should learn how to drive then maybe you won't get pulled by F.A.R.M. You are doing good so your favorite mistake woke your booty up. Remember one thing young wanna be looking Jedi braid dreads walker you come this far to quit. Hehe..hehe west side!
I could relate to this because I was there when this happened to my older brother. Its a good thing that i helped him out because I was sick and the cops just let us go. But where did all the fun go right. You can never do anything anymore without getting in trouble right. Haha it sucks when people stand above you.
I was maybe about 15 or 16 years old and got in trouble because I took my moms car with out her knowing. when the cops found out it was me they almost charger my with gto. I was lucky they dropped the charges. I learned my lesson the first time.
I know how that works. I would drive around all night sometimes, knowing I was doing it illegally. I think we do stuff like that so continuously, even after getting caught, because we like the thrill, the adrenaline. We feel more free.
Yeah, it's cool to hear that some of you have been in situations really close to mine. But I hope you have all learned, because I know insure have. Thanks guys!
