Theories

Throughout the ages, mankind has pondered various questions? Some such as: Why is the world round? How many feet in a mile? Where is the nearest restroom? How many cells in the human body? What killed the dinosaurs? Yet, thus far, we have had success in finding these answers. Then there are questions like: Is God real? What is the meaning of life? How long does the universe stretch? Is Tupac really alive? How many licks does it take to get to the center of a tootsie pop? Well, the world may never know. But there is one question we have yet to answer. Why are most women so obsessed with vampires?

Now, I could say there are many theories that pertain to this, but I really don't think it's a commonly talked about topic. I think one reason is that they took your typical male pop star, and turned him into a romantic blood sucking fairy. Yes, a fairy. For as long as I could remember, a vampire was someone who was brought back from the dead to wreak havoc on helpless humans, and to feast on their blood (even though the Cullen's feed on animal blood. Vegetarians man). Your stereotypical vampire was pale white, dark haired, very ugly, with a Transylvanian accent (I vant to suck your blood), and sharp teeth. Today's vampire consists of a liking to unattractive Hollywood actresses, pale skin, long, well styled hair, chiseled features, and yes, skin that sparkles in the sunlight.

One other theory might be that, to lure young girls into interest of their movie, they put attractive teen males into the movies. More attractive men, means more teen girls. And more teen girls means, more money. Money is always good. So to make a good vampire movie, all I need to do is take Channing Tatum, and Megan Fox, give them sharp teeth, pale skin, and a bottle of glitter. And BOOM! We have a blockbuster.

Or maybe vampires really weren't scary and ugly. Maybe the movies from the sixties had it all wrong. I mean, those Transylvanian men back then were pretty umm... well, pretty. So after years and years of research, we have come to find, that all real vampires looked like Edward Cullen, or a Cedric, or Robert... Looks like Hotel Transylvania got it all wrong. Bleh Bleh Bleh.

So I think we have come to the conclusion that all Hollywood producers have their own way over perceiving a vampire. Some using the art of disgusting creatures who eat blood. Some using attractive Hollywood men. Either way, vampires suck. Haha, see what I did their?

I agree that Hollywood producers put things in people's heads that aren't really how they started out. They twist up the stories to make them more appealing to people. To make people want to watch them more. My honest opinion is that people should keep things original.

I agree with this 100% Chris. I admit, I used to like Twilight(key words, used to.) But I like Dracula more. I think that you're right with Hollywood producers have their own ways of perceiving a vampire, and that's all fine and dandy, but I feel that they shouldn't have strayed too far from the original vampire. Vampires, in my eyes, Re supposed to burn in the sunlight, not sparkle. Chris, I think you did an amazing job on this theory.

Good blog Chris, vampires are stupid. In my opinion they should be erased from the world in movies, books, comics etc. Who'm ever want to love vampires can but I hate the whole theory period.

Chris this is so true I really wonder why girls are so obsessed with vampires. I am In disbelief that they are so obsessed with them. I think vampires are overrated. I don't even know why the entire human races eye has been cought by vampires. If you want a better explanation on than what you said listen to vampires by godsmack they have some excellent reasons on why people in general are obsessed with them.
