Imagine yourself in a situation when you are sitting down thinking about running and someone comes up to you and gives you some really good advice. In this example the advice is you should use hope and everything will be better. When they are talking to you other people even though they aren't supposed to listen to your conversation they are any way and they repeat that phrase over and over and over again. To the point that it starts to drive you crazy. Hope is tired phrase that should die with 2013 ( hope stands for hold on pain ends)
One reason that I think it should die is because it is way over used. For example, people put it in a sentence as much as they possibly can, and they use it way too much. Like
I have heard people say it in a sentence, such as why don't you hope and everything will be ok.
Another reason that I think is should leave is because I personally think hat it is stupid and people use it as a space filler when they don't have anything left to say. When they say it they are trying to simplify your problems. They are saying hold on and your pain will end. When they don't know what your problem is.
I do admit it is a really useful phrase, especially when you are trying to motive someone. When they are In need of help and motivation, sometimes it is a helpful phrase because some people when they are having an issue they need a positive comment or a motivational comment. However it may not help people it may just annoy them.
So what I a trying to say is if you say hope (hold on pain ends) it is basically saying that if you have hope all of your pain or all of your problems will disappear. But if you look at the facts that can prove that that phrase is not true you will realize that it may help you deal with your pain or your problems but they will never completely disappear they will always be there no matter what you do.

Sydnee this is so true. I really like the hold on pain ends saying. It's is very helpful at time but it is also very annoying at time too. I really liked your essay because it has a lot of truth to it.
