Stop asking! - Top 5 questions you should never ask someone who wears glasses.
A lot of people wear glasses, me included. It's already annoying having to deal with them, let alone the stupid questions that come with them. There are a few questions that are more annoying than the rest. I have made a list of these questions that will keep you from making a fool of yourself and people who wear glasses.
How many fingers am I holding up?
This question is probably the most annoying. Just because I wear glasses does not mean I'm completely blind without them. If you're looking for a way to make me mad(or most others who wear glasses) than go ahead and ask this question. If not, don't ask this question. If you ask this question you are more than likely to piss some people off.
2. Wow, you're really blind!
No, really? I just wear these to wear them. No. That's not the case. Most people who wear glasses need them because they can't see. I know that this isn't a question but it's annoying just the same. Don't say it.
3. Can I wear your glasses to see how blind you are?
This question goes with the statement above but it has a different perspective. Just because someone wears glasses DOES NOT mean that they're blind. If you ask this question you might make them mad and at the very least, hurt their feelings. Some people can see perfectly fine without glasses.
4. Why do you wear those?
Because I need them maybe? I don't know, that'd be my guess though. This question is probably the most stupid question you can ask. Isn't it obvious why someone would wear glasses? If you don't want to look like an idiot, don't ask this question. Please. Just don't.
5. Are those real?
Not everyone wears fake glasses for fashion. And those that do usually don't have lenses in them. If they're for fashion, the lenses are useless. Because, I mean, the lenses are the whole point of the glasses when you're using them for their intended purpose. If you have to question whether they're real or not, just assume they're not. Simple as that.
These questions are intended to help you to avoid mailing a fool of yourself and those around you. You don't have to take my advice, but being someone who wears glasses I would know what's annoying and what's not.

I think your right. I mean what is the point of asking those questions. Like number 3 you can't ask some one to use some thing of theirs then make fun of them.
Hey Candice thanks for your paper it had a lot of insight. If I ever get tempted to ask someone that I'll remember what you said because it had tons of honesty.
Candice sometimes people ask those questions to see your reaction. I used to wear glasses then I stopped because people kept making fun of me now my vision is 20/20 so I don't have to wear glasses anymore. I really like your question about "can I wear your glasses to see how blind you are?" I ask that question all the time just to see if you have bad eye sight. Then I get the payment for it because after I take the glasses off my eyes hurt.
I like you 5th question. I like it because every time I wear my glasses everybody asks me. It's so annoying!!
I don't wear glasses but if I did and people asked me these questions it would definitly annoy me. These questions are obvious ha I find it funny that people would even ask them. I like your blog a lot. You're really good at writing!
I think this is was a very good subject to pick. Because you have actually had personal experiences. Your not just thinking about things that other people have had problems. With and you know first hand. Great job:)
